Are Post Cards Old Fashion

I have been trying for the past few years to figure out if traditional post cards can be changed and to make them more interresting to a new generation of travelers. Post card sales has been slipping worldwide and soon there will be no post cards available. It might be a dying breed of a souvenir but before I give up, I want to try a new look. Any input would be appreciated.
